How does one engage with EARO?

You can engage with EARO in one of three ways.

  1. Contract research: Provision of specific or end-to-end drug discovery capabilities to researchers in an interactive and collaborative manner
  2. Equipment access: A range of equipment accessible on pay-per-use basis. Researchers can either book time via booking system or request for assistance by expert to perform the experiments on their behalf
  3. Expert consultation: Engage with subject matter experts who can provide in-depth scientific knowledge to help researchers navigate the challenges faced during early stages of drug discovery

Does EARO allow equipment only access?

YES! One can tap into EARO’s rich technologies just for equipment usage as well.

Are there any collaboration models at EARO?

YES! Please email us at earo@eddc.sg with some specifics of the kind of collaboration you are thinking about, including a tentative scope of your project. As a follow up EARO will schedule a meeting with the relevant experts for detailed discussions.

Are all offered services at the same location?

YES! Services offered by EARO core platforms are Located at Chromos in Biopolis. EARO comprises of supporting groups and have partnered with Academic labs to offer a wide range of services.

Does EARO offer in-vivo testing?

EARO offers PM support for in vivo studies that will be outsourced to our preferred partners.

Does EARO offer Medicinal Chemistry and Hit to Lead Optimization services.

How long does a screening project take?

Numerous factors determine the throughput of a screening campaign ranging from assay type (Biochemical or cell based), read out (plate reader based or image based), signal stability, no. of compounds to be screened, etc.

It would be best if you provide project details to advice you further.

Can I screen cells with infectious material?

EARO comprises of BSL2 certified labs, as long as the materials are certified for BSL2 it can be used for screening.

Will there be any training to use EARO technologies?

EARO offers training for most equipment and technologies.

Who provides consumables for the screening, EARO or customer?

+

This can be mutually discussed and agreed upon during the Project discussion stage.

Can I bring some expertise and be a part of EARO?

+

EARO welcomes such initiatives.
